1966 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Hertz 4 speed
The GT350 H was known as the Rent-a-Racer for the princely sum of $17 per day and 17 cents per mile you could be running around in a 306 HP screamer. The first 85 cars were ordered with a 4 speed transmission while the balance were delivered with an automatic. A total of 1,001 Hertz Shelby’s were built. This car is one of only 86 built.
This particular example is one of the coveted first 85 4 speed cars. The original matching number stamped K code motor was removed complete for safe keeping and is stored on a pallet with all the original accessories, intake, alternator, carburetor, brackets, even the hose clamps. She has been fitted with a 347 stroker motor built to look original. The car is very original with one repaint and shows a lovely patina. This is a rare chance to purchase a Hertz 4 speed that is not an over restored garage queen, but a racer that is meant to be driven. The car is listed with the Shelby Registry and has all the correct VIN stampings and tags. Drive your investment.
