Listing Description

Here is a lovely example of a tastefully built 1935 Ford 5 Window coupe streetrod. All steel body and steel fenders, this car is a joy to drive, upgraded with a 350 V8 Chevrolet engine fitted with an aluminum performance intake manifold, 4 barrel carburetor  and shorty headers. Turbo 350 automatic transmission and dual exhausts. The front suspension is Mustang 11 rack and pinion with power steering and powered disk brakes front and rear. Independent rear suspension and rear end from a Corvette takes care of the handling at the back.

The interior is very high quality finished in brown velour with a center console mounted with gauges, and an Alpine stereo CD player. The carpets are high quality wool with binding. The steering column is a GM tilt unit and the dash has a full set of classic style VDO gauges monitoring all the necessary levels and temperatures. The windows are tinted with a light tint to keep out the heat, and the front window also tilts out, while the rear window retracts to give a cool breeze on a hot summers day if required. The trunk is trimmed out with wool carpet panels.

The exterior paint is a stunning root beer brown, done to excellent show standards, there are a couple of very minor chips, the headlights have the indicators built in. The chrome is all excellent in side and out, the wheel are steel rims pinstriped with chromed caps. The car comes with a set (2) of 1935 California license plates. The doors shut perfectly with even gaps all around.

The car drives great, runs smooth easy to drive with the power brake and steering, and handling is very positive. Overall the quality of this car is very high, corners were not cut, it has a great stance, and the color will make you stand out of the crowd from all the red streetrods out there !! This a rare chance to acquire an all steel bodied and fendered streetrod at a reasonable price.

The current owner is downsizing his car collection, and this is the reason for selling this beautiful car, I personally love this car, the colour, quality, and stance hits all the right buttons.
