West Coast Auto Appraisals is owned and operated by Neil Thomas born in Bristol in The UK. He moved the the USA in 1991. Drawing from his extensive knowledge, history and passion in the automobile business, Neil has gained the reputation as honest and knowledgeable authority in the car appraisal business. “My passion is cars, pure and simple, I live and breathe cars, and to tinker with an old classic car is my idea of heaven!” Neil maintains a personal collection of over 25 cars of all different types from 1937 Packard to a 1969 Chevy Camaro, a Jaguar MK2 3.8 to a 1964 Mercedes 230sl, also a 1972 BMW CSL and 1964 Ford Falcon wagon not to forget a couple of MGA’s. I also like modern day classics such as 1994 Mercedes E500, BMW 635CSi and 1995 Jaguar XJS V12 coupe. I can be often found at a local car show displaying one of my cars or soaking up the other wonderful cars on display. I have helped many clients over the years curate their car collections, and give helpful advice to car collectors around the world.

I’m particularly from of European sports cars from the 1950’s and 1960;s and American Muscle cars from the late sixties to early 70s. Neil has restored numerous cars over the years and enjoys nothing more than a sunset cruise up Pacific Coast Highway in an old classic car. Neil has written articles for various classic cars magazines and has extensive knowledge of researching, decoding and deciphering matching numbers on old Fords, GM and Mopar vehicles. Neil has extensive experience in diminished value appraisals and insurance total loss appraisal, and my years of experience and connections enable me to settle cases quickly and efficiently.
